Yoga for Back Pain

One of my first recommendations for patients with Back Pain is to start Yoga. The most basic yoga poses I give to most patients is the Cat and Dog.

The Cat and Dog should be done in a fluid movement. I tell patients to hold for an extra moment at the bottom of the Cat and top of the Dog. Usually 8-10 repetitons first thing when getting out of bed and going back to bed at night.
